Mud Lake

This weekend I went up to a tiny town in Idaho with one of my very closest friends. Her granny and pop have a farm up there and it is probably my fourth time up. The first time was when I was in 7th grade.

This weekend, we went to a fair, ate mini donuts, drank huckleberry wine, watched dozens of hummingbirds feed from granny’s feeders, made our first quilts, and watched the stars late at night because there’s no other lights to spoil the view.

It was so relaxing and fun in that simple pleasure sort of way.
